|Mark A. O'Neal, CPL - Chief Executive Officer
Mark O'Neal is one of the most respected Landman professionals with a 35+ year track record of success in the Landman industry. He is a Certified Professional Landman and is expert in all phases of land work including negotiating for acquisition of property, oil and gas leases, rights-of-way agreements, settlements for damage and farmout agreements. He is experienced in the preparation of abstracts of title, mineral histories, title research, lease checks, state lands research, conservation research, title curative, environmental site assessment, and well site locations.
Mark is professionally active. He is past Chairman of the membership committee of the American Association of Professional Landmen, has served on the organization’s Board of Directors multiple times, and was a trustee of the AAPL Scholarship Trust. Mark was also a charter member and the first President of the Baton Rouge Association of Professional Landmen. He was honored as Outstanding Landman of the Year in 1991. Mark is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
|Sharon Hill - Chief Financial Officer/Human Resources Director|
Sharon Hill is a financial professional who has advised corporations, private businesses and governmental agencies for over 25 years. She joined the MAO team in 1996 and has developed the financial reporting and internal accounting systems of the company. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Human Resources Manager. Sharon directs all financial and human resource functions and is an expert in financial forecasting, cost benefit analysis, and project management. She is a key member of the Executive Team. Sharon is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
|Joshua Andrews, CPL - Senior Project Manager|
Joshua Andrews is a Senior Project Manager of the Southeastern United States for MAO. In his 9 years with MAO, Joshua has developed extensive knowledge and experience in lease acquisitions, title curative, and abstracting in North and South Louisiana in addition to his time spent as project manager in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Mississippi, and Ohio. He is responsible for the organization of title support, curative, leasing, abstracting, and any and all day-to-day operations. Joshua is dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible product, while focusing on time management, cost control, and the MAO team's overall commitment to success.
Joshua is a Certified Professional Landman who graduated from McNeese State University and is an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Baton Rouge Association of Professional Landmen.
|John Bullock, RPL - Senior Project Manager|
John Bullock, an experienced landman, has widespread knowledge in the industry from years of experience in abstracting, leasing, curative, due diligence and more. As a Senior Project Manager, John controls the everyday ins and outs the industry can generate by managing personnel, project workload, and productivity. John has been a member of the MAO team since 2008 and in that time has worked in Louisiana, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Utah, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. John is a Registered Professional Landman as well as a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), the Denver Association of Professional Landmen (DAPL), and the Northern Appalachian Landman’s Association (NALA).
Marcella R. Fink, JD, LLM - Executive Director of Abstracting
Marcella is a member of AAPL and the Louisiana State Bar Association. She holds Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate degrees from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and a Master of Laws from the University of Houston. With over 7 years of experience with abstracting and leasing title in plays across the country, she brings legal expertise to the review of title packages. Marcella manages all aspects of the company’s extensive Abstract Department.
|Roger D. Goudeau - Director of Abstracting, Ark-La-Tex|
Roger is a member of AAPL and has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Roger has 17 years of experience and extensive knowledge in leasing title and abstracting. He has managed abstract teams in the Fayetteville Shale and Haynesville Shale and Southern Arkansas. Roger works closely with the abstract Team leaders and oversees the quality control of the abstracts within the abstract department. Roger maintains Client Status data bases/reports and teaches basic Abstracting and plotting courses to trainees.
|Elizabeth Williams - Regional Manager, LA Gulf Coast|
Elizabeth attended Florida State prior to her years of courthouse experience, which has included everything from lease checks to researching and preparing detailed title certificates and patent abstracts. She handles lease analysis, title examination, and preparation and review of documents for recordation. She conducts research in the Office of Mineral Resources and Department of Natural Resources for State Lease Abstracts and Mineral Histories. She also creates and maintains WI/NRI spreadsheets. Currently she is the South Louisiana District Manager and is overseeing all of the leasing, abstracting, and curative projects in South Louisiana.
|Belinda Fife - Administrative Manager|
Belinda brings seven years of managerial experience, a business degree, financial expertise, and an in-depth knowledge of the land leasing business to the Administrative Manager position of Mark A. O’Neal & Associates. Belinda is responsible for all aspects of bonuses paid to landowners and stays in constant contact with the brokers, banks, and clients to ensure prompt and accurate payments. She also works closely with clients to facilitate the accurate and timely transfer of leases from the point of signature to assignment, which includes a final, quality control review of all leases prior to recordation and submission to the client. In addition, she monitors the information flow from the field to the office and keeps multiple lease information databases current to ensure critical lease data is correct and accessible.
